DigitalNation BMS — Warranty
The customer brought back a mobile.
“Bhai, bought it four months ago. It’ll be under warranty, right?”
You don’t remember. Four months ago — which mobile was it? Did it have warranty? For how long?
You open the notebook. Search for a slip. The IMEI must be written somewhere — but where?
The customer waits. You sweat.
Finally you say “yes, it’s in warranty” — and pay for the repair out of your own pocket. No proof whether it was in warranty at all.
Or — you refuse. The customer leaves angry. Your reputation takes the hit.
DigitalNation BMS (Business Management Software) ends this.
The customer arrives, gives the IMEI — or just their phone number.
You search. Two seconds. The screen shows:
- Sale date — when it was sold
- Warranty period — how many days / weeks / months
- Warranty expiry — valid until when
- Days remaining — in warranty or not
- Product details — which model, which IMEI
- Customer’s name
You turn the screen toward him. He looks. The truth on screen.
In warranty? Repair is your responsibility — and you claim from the supplier. Warranty expired? You explain — with proof.
No argument. No loss. No embarrassment.
Every warranty, fully auto-tracked
In BMS, warranty applies automatically — when you add the product or make a sale:

- With every IMEI — unit-wise tracking (for mobiles)
- Alerts — before warranty expires
- Search — instant by IMEI or phone
- Claim records — if repair is needed
- Reports — how many warranties are active
Set once — automatic forever.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the warranty period?
Open Products → edit → toggle “Has Warranty?” on → enter duration and type. Now it applies automatically on every sale.
Can I set a different warranty for each product?
Yes. Each product has its own warranty — some 6 months, some 1 year, some no warranty.
If it comes for repair under warranty, do I charge the customer?
No. Warranty repair is your responsibility — but claim from the supplier, so your loss is zero. The system links this for you.
Can I check warranty without IMEI?
Yes, but it’s more accurate with IMEI. If no IMEI, check by the customer’s phone number or name.
Can I change the warranty duration?
Yes, in the product. But it won’t affect existing sales — only future sales.
Is a warranty card mandatory?
Not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Proof for the customer, professional behaviour from you.
What if the warranty expired but the customer insists?
Show the expiry date on screen or PDF — talk with proof. If your policy allows, you can offer a special concession.
Can I get a report of old warranties?
Yes. Warranty → Report → pick a date range → how many active, how many claims, what loss — all on screen.
